Development of 3D Printed Oral Disintegrating Tablets of Oxcarbazepine Using Co-Processed Excipient

Scientific Posters | December 5, 2024

Explore the unique advantages of 3D printing (3DP) in creating highly porous oral disintegrating tablets (ODTs) that disintegrate faster, enhancing patient compliance. This study assesses binder jetting technique for producing ODTs by layering powder blends and binding them with a solution. Data reveals that 3DP enables rapid evaluation of high-dose formulations using co-processed excipients. Research also indicates potential for developing ODTs with other active pharmaceutical ingredients using this innovative technology.
