Open Bed 3DP-Tablet Forming Platform
Aprecia’s Open Bed 3DP-Tablet Forming Platform enables 3DP-tablet printing without molds or dyes, so tooling is unnecessary when adjusting geometries or spatial compositions. The system can produce orodispersible dosage forms in excess of 1000 mg of active ingredients.
- For development, uses bed-to-bed transfer of powder for rapid prototyping with expensive and/or scarce API during feasibility and early formulation.
- For commercial-scale production, uses a cam-driven oval “racetrack” consisting of linked moving build trays; also features continuous powder feeding and spreading, stationary high resolution printheads, unprinted powder capture and recirculation, and a humidity-controlled drying oven.
